Camping in the Catskills
4 Day Bike Tour - contact us to claim your place
September 14-17, 2017
Put some miles under your tires between yourself and civilization. Climbs, descents, quiet scenic routes through the mountains, and the natural tranquility of some excellent wild camping, join us and get away from it all in the Catskills, NY.
We'll be supported by a vehicle carrying your off-the-bike wear and tent you provide so you're ready to set up camp once you reach the campsites. It'll also be carrying enough spare tubes, tires, wheels, food and clothing for bad weather to keep us up and running whatever the road throws at us.
All distances are approximate - we're always tweaking our routes as we explore more and find better roads for you to ride on!
Day 1 -
We will being our journey in Milford, PA and wind our way into the Catskill mountains along a bumbling creek showcasing the local swimming spots. Our first night will be spend at the Kenneth L. Wilson Campground, a picturesque quiet grounds.
We will start by cycling into the famous town of Woodstock before hitting some longer climbs. Along the way we will find ourselves near the Kaaterskill waterfall, the tallest waterfall in NY. A short hike to gaze upon the waterfalls before stopping for a touch of lunch. The day will finish up at the North/South Lake Campground, campground on top of a mountain with views overlooking the Hudson valley.
Third day will be a more secluded day riding out in the mountains as we make our way to the remote location of Little Pond Campground, campsite set up along a gorgeous pond.
The final day we will make our way out of the Catskills and back to Milford, PA. Expect long country lanes and descents. If we arrive back in Milford in time opt into a sunset hike to say good-bye to the Delaware River.
